Diet: Regularity Matters
Recent studies have suggested that eating at regular intervals has beneficial effects on both weight control and cholesteral levels. Research suggest that those that eat erratically not only tend to consume more calories but tend to burn then at a slower rate. This holds true for those who eat a couple of large meals and those who eat frequent small meals. In a study conducted be Ian Macdonald PHD. 10 overweight women were monitered as the ate as they normally do. Those who ate regularly reported eating 120 fewer calories. Those who ate erratically showed slower metabolitc rates, higher LDL (bad cholesterol) levels, as well as lowered insulin resistance.
